Inkdrop on Rice Paper | Digital Prints | 2005

Ink drops on rice paper are a series Iris prints on Arches paper. A set of tiny and indistinguishable ink drops were enlarged with a high-resolution scanner and without any other artistic manipulation. When enlarged, the individual features of each ink drop were miraculously exposed, and a complex, organic world emerged. By taking advantage of high-tech tools (in this case, the hi-res scanner), I was able to re-examine the micro world and reveal hidden identities.
